Boiler Feed and Cooling Water Treatment Division

Boilers are susceptible to scale caused by exposure to calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate or magnesium silicate. They are also susceptible to corrosion from dissolved oxygen in the feed water. Northland Chemical’s boiler water treatment programs include corrosion inhibitor chemistry designed to keep boiler systems and steam condensate lines clean and passivated. The result is both operating as well as preventative maintenance costs savings.

Northland Chemical’s cooling water chemical formulations are designed with value in mind. They contain blends of dispersants and scale inhibitors designed for maximum cooling water concentration cycles, water usage cost savings, as well as clean and energy efficient systems.

Exposure to even a small amount of scale and biological growth can significantly increase energy costs in a chiller system. Northland Chemical’s cooling water chemistry is designed such that soluble salts are well beyond their saturation limits, allowing for reduced water usage. Our programs are capable of dispersing colloidal buildup. They also eliminate microbiology, buildup and biofilms, and minimize risk for health related issues such as Legionnaire’s Disease.
